ALIM/MMCC Day Program:

The Muslim community inherits a moral legacy that has overcome, negotiated, and even absorbed challenges to its integrity in the past. The very “Tradition” that we reference is only the outcome of Muslims throughout history rising to unprecedented challenges and we must similarly embrace our moment. However, in the past, members of an insulated scholarly class debated the attributes and qualities of God, the “createdness” of the Qur’an, the status of people who die committing major sins, etc. while the greater Muslim community was left undisturbed.
In our context, the most pressing moral/theological questions of the day,  all of which involve conceptions of God, the self, the other, and choice are debated publicly. Everyone has say. ALIM has always believed in empowering Muslims so that we are a more informed collective as we engage the conversation. Please join us for a conversation about Freedom and Accountability.

Community Celebration Dinner:

You are also  invited to celebrate how far ALIM has come with your help.  Please join us for a complimentary dinner with our ALIM scholars.  The dinner will start immediately following the Day Program (5:45pm).  RSVP for the dinner by Aug 6th to reserve your seat.
